A former student of Deirdre Forristal School of Dance, Finn has been working with The Kilkenny Academy of Dance since 2010. Through gaining her DDI and DDE, she is a qualified and registered teacher of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in classical ballet and modern theatre dance.
Finn is a graduate of Inchicore VEC, Dublin where she has spent 3 years in Full time training studying, Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary , Improvisation, First Aid, Dance History and Anatomy and Physiology.During this time, She also gained a National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness with University of Limerick. While at Inchicore College Finn was awarded a scholarship to attend Impulstanz Dance Festival, Vienna, where she had the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed dancers and choreographers.
Finn has performed and choreographed nationally, working with both children and adults alike. She has worked in Dublin musical theatre school - LiveWire as head dance teacher where she gained invaluable experience under the direction of Diane Richardson.Since 2010 Finn was taught in Bray School of Dance where she has also worked as manager. During her time as manager in Bray she produced and choreographed their full scale school production of ‘Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs’.In 2013, Finn founded The Abbeyleix School of Dance where she took on the role of Principal and head teacher.
Finn has assisted in the development of fitness in Kilkenny by running extremely successful dance fitness/zumba & pilates classes at Kilkenny dance studio for the past 4 years. She has also made a strong mark on many of the local Primary and Secondary schools where she has shared her knowledge of fitness and dance in these schools, providing fun and energetic dance classes throughout the city and county.
